I’m new to this, but I think it’s fantastic. I’ve heard of Warhammer but I didn’t really know what it was but thanks to these stories and becoming a big fan. So I thank you you really bring the stories alive. This is my second story. Take care peace over and out.

No it leads straight into Dante!! Read Dante first, then Devastation of Baal! I can’t believe ABP got that wrong. I feel really bad for people who skip important books because they don’t know. GW is really bad at listing their books in order. Dante literally picks up right at the very end of this. And nowhere in Dante do they mention that it follows directly on from Shield of Baal, or in fact that it follows on from anything. Anyway if you keep reading, make sure you read Dante before Devastation of Baal, and you’ll enjoy Devastation of Baal (which is a great book) much better. Both are great books actually. Then there’s one after that too that I haven’t read yet. Not sure where the Mephiston series fits in, but it’s around the same time I think.

So what I don't get is why Morty got so pissy about E killing his adoptive dad. He actually waited until he was about to kill Morty before stepping in. The current hate would have been justified if he was winning and E swooped in, killed the guy and said Morty lost their bet. Like, from Morty's POV, what would have been the right thing for E to do?

Oh snap! I am busy listening to the Lords of Silence audiobook. I'm not into the models and painting them so it takes quite a while to listen to the whole book. I need something to keep my hand and/or eyes busy while I listen.

My mother said my father - whom I've never met was an audio book narrator on RUclips who did warhammer 40K content. She said he had an english accent, wore glasses, and chain smoked. This guy sounds like he fits the description

You can see it as PTSD coming out for lysander....but they don't half write our older first born heroes as incompetent old folk ... Before that point Lysander has never showed these traits ....I get that they want to sell the new imperial fist character but the fight against honsu has been done to death now ...each time them fighting great big battles and the leader escaping ..there are only so many times the same story will capture you ...
